Your Mac will start. Therefore macOS partition won’t show in Boot Camp Control Panel since High Sierra. To set macOS as default, use the Startup Disk preference pane in macOS System Preferences, or hold control as you select the disk from Startup Manager (the alt boot menu. Boot Camp is software developed by Apple, in cooperation with Microsoft, designed to run Windows on Mac hardware. By using Boot Camp, you don't have to choose between Apple macOS or Windows. Instead, you can install both and simply switch between them by rebooting and selecting the other OS. Sep 21, 2016  Question: Q: Boot Camp missing from Startup Disk. Hi, my Boot Camp is missing from my Startup Disk. Please advise. After reboot I can see Mac and Windows both but when I am running startup disk in Mac Its not showing Bootcamp Partition. However in Disk utility its showing Mac.

You mentioned troubleshooting, did it include these:

NVRAM reset

Shut down the MacBook Pro. Start it and immediately hold down Command, Option, P and R keys at the same time. Wait until you hear the startup chime for the third time before letting go.

Also, SMC reset may be needed (that usually doesn't fix a missing boot partition, though).

  • Shut down the computer.
  • Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
  • On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
  • Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
  • Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Restart and hold down the D key to enter the Hardware Test. Follow the instructions.

When booted externally, use Finder's Go menu to open Utilities. Launch Disk Utility and look for any signs of your internal drive in the list of hard drives on the left. If you find it look for First Aid and try to use it on the disk.

Refer to the following to see if it takes you anywhere you haven't been yet.

Startup Disk Mac Full

Hello,
My dad installed Windows 10 on my mac using boot camp as I understood. When I try to log in to Macos or see if it is there it seems to be gone when I turn the computer on, there is only option to choose Windows, when I select option of restarting the in Macos it says that it 'Could not allocate the OS X boot volume'. This happened before, and my dad was able to fix, but his brain tumor progressed so far that he is as functional as a 3 year old, and has no idea what I am talking about or what to do with computer. I know nothing about computers, which sucks, I do not even need the Macos system, but I really need that memory, or at least most of the memory that was dedicated to Macos. It looks like a common problem, but I can't seem to follow the instructions people posted. I hope someone here can help, I have no money to pay tech services
