  • Hello DJ Experts,

Grandpa here need some help and playing this as a hobby not for clubs. I got DJM-750 and 2 CDJ-850s as a gift and would like to use this with Traktor Pro 2. I’m familiar with Traktor Pro 2 but do not really know if I need to connect DJM-750 via USB cable to my MacBook Pro or just connect the 2 CDJs via USB to MBP to use as HIDs to control the decks?

    1. I know the CDJ-850s have built-in sound card that I can map and connect via USB to control the decks – does this make sense?
    2. Do I need to connect my mixer DJM-750 to MacBook Pro for the soundcard and outputs?

Any setup or guide will surely help me out. And I do appreciate any of your insights.

    Thank you much!

Tutorial For Traktor Pro 3 And Djm 750 Kit

  • Hi guys, I would like ask you if also the Pioneer DJM-750 works with Traktor Dj like the 950 with just plug in through USB? Actually I have the Traktor S2 and as you know this controller have two bottoms to load the track in the section A or B. In the case of the DJM-750, if you use the Traktor Dj with four or two channels, are there in the DJM-750 bottoms to load each track? The think is not use the trackpad of the laptop for do that…

    Thank you.

The DJM750 does not work with Tractor DJ like the DJM900T does. The 750 is a straight analog mixer where the 900 is analog/digital with USB ports.

The DJM-850 is Traktor Scratch certified, meaning it can act as a soundcard for DVS, however it has ZERO buttons to midi map. So for all the functions (song loading, browsing, deck transport,…) you will need another midi controller.
While it does work the DJM-850 does not include much functionality and is actually with its build in effects a much better standalone mixer than for software use.

    No.
And the S2 is way better already than any DJ Mixer, even a Nexus mixer.
